Novaxpulse was conceived for travellers who regard their room as more than a place to sleep. Set on Calle Iparraguirre in the Ensanche district, the hotel occupies a restored early-twentieth-century building whose facade opens onto one of Bilbao's most animated boulevards. Inside, the palette shifts to warm terracotta and soft cream — tones drawn from Andalusian tile and Basque limestone — so that the moment you cross the threshold, the city's golden mediterranean light follows you in. Our fourteen rooms and four suites are arranged across five floors, each one angled to capture a distinct slice of the skyline: the Nervión river bend from the upper floors, the leafy canopy of Doña Casilda park from the mid-level rooms. We opened in 2018 with a simple idea — that a small hotel run by a careful team can offer something a large chain never will: the sense that the building was designed with your specific view in mind.

Terracotta-cream interiors
The warm terracotta and cream palette runs from the tiled entrance hall to the linen in each suite. Furniture is handpicked from Bilbao craftspeople and a single ceramicist in Vitoria-Gasteiz whose work appears on every floor.
Basque dining at Txoko
Our ground-floor restaurant Txoko serves a short daily menu built around seasonal produce from the Bizkaia market. Pintxos at the bar from 19:00; a five-course tasting menu Wednesday through Saturday from 20:30.
Private events with a view
The top-floor terrace seats thirty guests and looks out over the city's rooftops toward the Artxanda hills. Available for private dinners, corporate gatherings and small ceremonies — catering by Txoko's kitchen team.
